Plane

Flying into London

The best airport to fly into from Vancouver would be London Heathrow (LHR). Some guests may be flying to London Gatwick (LGW) and that works too.

IMPORTANT: As of January 2025, Canadians need to apply for an electronic travel authoriasation before going into the UK. The ETA cost approximately £10 and guests should apply for this at least 2 weeks before their flight in.

Car

Getting to central London from Heathrow Airport (LHR)

There are lots of ways to get into central London after landing in LHR, the best way would be to take the Heathrow Express into London Paddington (20 minutes) and then the Tube to your hotels ahead of the pre-wedding gathering on the 18th.

In our opinion, Heathrow Express is best during rush hour (traffic in Central London can get very congested), but if you’re outside of rush hour, and lazy, you can take an Uber too!

Car

Renting a car to drive to the wedding venue

For our avid travellers (who has experience driving on the opposite side of the road), renting a car can be an option if you’d like to explore more of the English Countryside.

Please make sure your current BC Driver’s License is valid. You do not need an international driver’s permit if you hold a valid BC Driver’s License.

The drive from Central London to Babington House is around 2.5 to 3 hours.

Train

Taking a train to the wedding venue

The best way to get to Babington House without renting a car would be to take a train from London Paddington station to Bath Spa station, and then to take a 25-30 minute Uber to Babington House.

**Please allow extra time when taking the train to Babington House as there might be day-of changes with the train schedule that might disrupt your travel plans.
